The engineering office Mayer-Vorfelder und Dinkelacker was founded in 1980 in Sindelfingen by Dr. Hans Jörg Mayer-Vorfelder and . The company developed dynamically with outstanding projects such as the Landeskreditbank LKB in Stuttgart and the university in Ulm on Oberer Eselsberg. When the branch in Dresden was opened in 1996, the number of employees had already grown to over 30.
After the turn of the millennium, Rüdiger Pflughaupt and Klaus Schäfer, employees of many years, joined Mayer-Vorfelder und Dinkelacker Ingenieurgesellschaft GmbH und Co KG as managing partners. After his recognition as a test engineer for construction technology, Klaus Schäfer has followed in this role since 2003 after Hans Jörg Mayer-Vorfelder who in 2008 at the age of 70 handed on his shares to his younger colleagues at the engineering company.
The appointment of Jochen Salmen brought in another long-term employee into the management team in 2010 whose share as a partner followed in 2011.
Taking on Dr. Jan Schütt onto the management team at the beginning of 2013 and his recognition as a test engineer for construction technology that another part of the course for the future was set.
Non-commonplace, technically sophisticated solutions for striking construction projects has become MVD's trademark over the years. Whether it is prestressed constructions, cable structures or plastic sheet shell structures – they are reliably designed and functional.
