Topping-out ceremony for the new wing of the Asklepios Clinic Burglengenfeld
A milestone in the construction progress of the Asklepios Clinic was the topping-out ceremony for the new wing of the clinic on October 22, 2024, which will provide space for 64 additional beds. Around 20 million euros will be invested in the new building and the partial renovation of the nursing wards, endoscopy and laboratory. This project will give the hospital a modern infrastructure and send a strong signal for the future of medical care.
An extension with a volume of 12,500 cubic meters is being built on an area of 750 square meters. The first and second floors of the new building will house the nursing ward with new rooms that meet the latest standards.
The clinic's managing director, Kathrin Hofstetter, thanked everyone involved for their commitment, which kept the construction project on schedule. In addition to the planning of the new building and the settlement-free connection to the existing building, the supporting structure of the existing building, which had been severely affected by several conversions in recent decades, had to be extensively upgraded and renovated in order to adapt it to the new requirements.
The entire project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2025.
The structural design for the new building and the conversions to the existing building was carried out by MVD.
