The Plochingen Music Center receives award for exemplary building in BW

The Baden-Württemberg Music Center in Plochingen was completed in 2021. On November 12, 2024, the Chamber of Architects presented the building with an award as part of the Exemplary Building in the District of Esslingen award process. The seven-member jury of experts assessed 96 projects between 2018 and 2024 and recognized 22 for their positive contribution to building culture in the district. An important goal is to recognize buildings that have a positive impact on people's lives and their environment. The music center is characterized by two buildings in an open development with green open spaces. The building sections are connected via an inner courtyard with a wide archway as the main entrance. The clear structure continues inside and offers space for concentration and encounters thanks to a few materials and a restrained color scheme.
