Facades and roof
SHOW INNER BEAUTY ON THE OUTSIDE. GOOD STRUCTURAL PLANNING IS REFLECTED IN A HARMONIOUS SHELL – BOTH AESTHETICALLY PLEASING AND ENERGY-EFFICIENT.
The nature of a facade is ambivalent – it has to protect the interior from wind and weather and yet convey transparency and easiness. It provides the lion's share of the building's energy efficiency and on the outside it contributes to how the architecture is perceived in the public. It is protection and representation.
The appearance of a facade, a roof overhang or a translucent superstructure are essentially shaped by the supporting structure. In order to create glass facades with maximum transparency, we reduce the number and dimension of the supporting elements to a minimum.
We assign great importance to economic and ecological considerations regarding energy efficiency. The result of good planning goes well beyond the investment phase and determines the sustainability and value of a building for many years.
