Foyer Old Castle

The restructuring and general refurbishment of the Dürnitzhalle and the adjoining ground floor area during ongoing museum operations on the other floors of the Old Palace in Stuttgart presented the structural engineers at MVD with a wide variety of challenges: from the installation of new galleries and a foyer staircase on an existing vaulted ceiling, to the creation of new ceiling, wall and beam openings for the building services and the installation of a scissor lift in the existing vaulted ceiling, to the installation of new "room-in-room solutions" on the vaulted ceiling. In addition, a steel substructure was installed for the new vaulted drywall ceiling of the Dürnitzhalle.
