Leadership with competence and vision.

Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Rüdiger Pflughaupt

"Future-oriented projects need a sense of shared responsibility. This must be deeply rooted in all partners."

After training as a draughtsman in civil engineering and road construction, Rüdiger Pflughaupt studied civil engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Constance. During his studies, he completed an 8-month internship abroad in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and gained his first international experience. Rüdiger Pflughaupt has been working for MVD since 1984. As early as 1986, he was significantly involved in the EVT Untertürkheim, L-Bank Stuttgart and Ulm University (German Timber Construction Prize 1992) projects as a senior engineer.

As early as 1988, he took on a management role in the company. From 1988 to 2001, he was largely responsible for numerous milestone projects of the office, including the Laserinstitut Stuttgart, the SI-Centrum, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and the EnBW-City. After the company was founded in 1996, he also took over responsibility for the development of the Dresden branch in 1997. During this time, projects such as the reconstruction of the Potsdam City Palace, the revitalization and expansion of the Staatsschauspiel Kleines Haus Dresden and the Thomas Schütte Hombroich sculpture hall were realized.

In 2001, he became a partner and managing director of Mayer-Vorfelder und Dinkelacker. As the responsible project manager, his focus was on the planning of large-scale construction projects. Rüdiger Pflughaupt's expert knowledge in this field is not only of benefit to MVD, however: he gives specialist lectures and seminars, publishes in specialist journals and advises investors on major construction projects. He is also involved as a juror and consultant in national and international architectural competitions.

Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Schäfer

"The willingness to take on responsibility and always do a little more than you have to is the basis for success."

Klaus Schäfer studied civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart. After graduating with a degree in engineering in 1987, he gained his first project experience at Mayer-Vorfelder and Dinkelacker in structural design, structural testing and the preparation of expert reports on structural damage. Early on, he took on responsibility as project manager for technically difficult projects and problems, both in dealing with listed buildings or special solutions for civil engineering measures as well as for outstanding new construction projects such as the representation of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Berlin.

in 2003, Klaus Schäfer was approved by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics as a test engineer for structural engineering and at the same time joined the engineering company Mayer-Vorfelder und Dinkelacker as managing partner. For over 20 years, a large number of projects have been structurally inspected under his responsibility, including a large number of outstanding administrative and industrial buildings for well-known representatives of the Baden-Württemberg economy.

Dipl.-Ing. Jochen Salmen

"Allowing ideas - being open to new things means above all trying things out, learning and thinking ahead - instead of simply continuing to build."

Jochen Salmen has been a member of the MVD team since completing his studies at the University of Stuttgart. As a project manager, the graduate engineer took on responsibility for architecturally demanding and technically complex construction projects at an early stage. As a creative mind with the courage to try new things and the willingness to push the boundaries of what is technically feasible, he has developed numerous structures in the MVD partner discipline of prestressing technology, in the areas of membrane structures and façade construction.

His core competencies also include the sensitive yet creative handling of listed buildings and their revitalization for the future. He has presented numerous constructions in specialist lectures and publications. With his ideas and commitment, Jochen Salmen has contributed significantly to the development of Ingenieurgesellschaft Mayer-Vorfelder und Dinkelacker.

In 2008 he was integrated as an authorized signatory, since 2010 Jochen Salmen has been managing director and since 2011 shareholder at MVD.

Dr.-Ing. Jan Schütt

"Experience and understanding of planning and testing is inspiring for me in every respect."

After completing his civil engineering studies at the University of Karlsruhe, Dr. Jan Schütt worked in an engineering office in northern Germany. His further career took him to the Institute of Structural Analysis at the University of Karlsruhe as a research assistant, where he also completed his doctorate on the numerical simulation of the multidimensional failure behavior of concrete, reinforced concrete and composite structures.

Dr. Jan Schütt has been part of the MVD team since 2005. He very quickly took on responsibility as project manager for technically and architecturally demanding large-scale projects. Many of these projects in the areas of prestressed reinforced concrete structures and building in earthquake zones were published by him and presented at national and international conferences.

He has been Managing Director of Ingenieurgesellschaft Mayer-Vorfelder und Dinkelacker since the beginning of 2013 and a partner since 2014. in 2016, Dr. Jan Schütt received his certification as a test engineer for structural engineering.

Dipl.-Ing. Markus Gartz

"BIM and digital planning will be a future field for us engineers and all those involved in construction."

After studying civil engineering at RWTH Aachen University, Markus Gartz gained his first valuable professional experience in the field of software development for the construction industry. His further career took him to an Aachen office as a project engineer and shortly afterwards as a project manager for structural dynamics and structural design.

in 2009, he became project manager at MVD for technically and creatively demanding large-scale projects in commercial and industrial construction, school and university construction as well as hospital and laboratory construction. Markus Gartz has been actively involved in the use of innovative planning and software tools since the beginning of his career at MVD. He accompanied the introduction of the BIM planning process and pays great attention to the continuous further development of digital planning processes.

Since the beginning of 2021, he has been a managing director and partner at Mayer-Vorfelder and Dinkelacker. in 2022, Markus Gartz received his license as a test engineer for structural engineering.

Dr.-Ing. Lars Rölle

"We need intelligent solutions that optimize the overall balance of resource consumption."

After completing his studies in civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Dr. Lars Rölle initially worked in the technical office of a construction company in Munich. At the beginning of 2006, he moved to the Institute for Construction and Design at the University of Stuttgart as a research assistant, where he completed his doctorate in the field of ductile connections of beam-column joints in steel and steel composite construction.

Dr. Lars Rölle has held a management position at MVD since the beginning of 2012. As project manager, he has successfully planned and realized many construction projects in the fields of university and school buildings, hospital and laboratory construction as well as administrative and office buildings. Thanks to his experience as a research assistant at the University of Stuttgart in the field of steel and steel composite construction, he brings future-oriented materials and innovative construction methods to his projects.

Dr. Lars Rölle regularly publishes and gives lectures at the University of Stuttgart and actively supports project committees as part of research projects. He has been Managing Director and partner at MVD since January 2021.

Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Lars Voigtländer

"Dynamic, reliable, solution- and team-oriented ... that's exactly what we aim for."

Lars Voigtländer moved from an office in Leipzig to MVD in Sindelfingen as a freelancer in 2002. As early as 2003, his path for MVD led him to the Elbe to strengthen the team at the Dresden branch. As project manager, he quickly took on responsibility and has been in charge of the Dresden office since 2008. Under his charismatic leadership, numerous buildings have been successfully planned and realized.

Under his leadership, highly flexible load-bearing structures were developed especially for the healthcare and university sectors, which are trend-setting in this area. He has played a key role in numerous new construction and conversion projects presented in publications and specialist articles.

Lars Voigtländer has been listed as a qualified structural engineer by the Saxon Chamber of Engineers since 2009. He was granted power of attorney in 2014 and has been a managing partner at MVD since January 2021.
