District Medical Association North Württemberg

The new four-storey building of the North Württemberg District Medical Association in Stuttgart-Degerloch forms a clear spatial edge to the public areas to the south. This is characterized by a high proportion of closed areas. A particular challenge for the structural design was to span the approx. 220m2 meeting room without columns, with a construction height of just 40 cm. As is so often the case with MVD, this was achieved with prestressing without a bond. It was also an exciting task to realize the circumferential storey-high glass façade without any supporting profiles.
