Office and Commercial Building on Postplatz

The new office building for SAP System Integration AG provides workspace for 500 employees. High-quality interior finishes, large meeting rooms, and retail spaces on the two lower floors are complemented by a dining area in the Riegel wing. Beneath the two-story Riegel annex is a two-story underground parking garage constructed with a waterproof design. To prevent uplift, tension piles have been installed in the “Riegel” section. A complex support structure beneath the underground parking garage ceiling decoupled the floor plan of the upper floors from that of the underground parking garage.

The main building, “Kubus,” is constructed using a reinforced concrete frame. The floor spans, which reach up to 11.5 m, are achieved through a composite steel solution featuring prestressed semi-precast elements and COBIAX hollow cores.

The building was completed in just 18 months of planning and construction.
