H2CC - HYDROGEN COMPETENCE CENTER LINDE AG
MVD was responsible for the structural design of an innovative roof for a hydrogen filling station, which Linde AG realized as a prototype. Only three supports were feasible for this new building due to its intended use.
Three circular rings, each with a diameter of 12 m and a total area of 200 m2, rest on these. These circular rings, oriented on the hydrogen molecule, protrude 8 m beyond the support lines. The superposition of bending and torsion is therefore decisive for the statics. The pneumatically pre-tensioned membrane cable net construction consists of 0.2 mm ETFE foil and the entire media routing was integrated into the steel structure.
