NDT Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

The construction project comprises the new construction of a clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy, the restructuring of an existing building into a psychiatric institute outpatient clinic and the new construction of a day clinic. The new buildings were combined with the remaining parts of the existing building to form a coherent ensemble. The aim was to create optimal therapeutic care not via a classic hospital, but via living space with a feel-good atmosphere.

The first task was the complex foundation in the glacial deposits of the Schussental valley. The new building was planned using a flexible load-bearing structure according to the basic principle of "as little load-bearing structure as possible - as much as necessary". The result is a building with a clear design language that is light and connected to the earth. The effect is underlined by coordinated furnishings with color accents to match. The old trees surrounding the building have been carefully preserved to create a protective effect for patients seeking help.
