Hamm-Lippstadt

University

The new construction of the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences comprised the new university campus divided into four individual buildings with a canteen and administration building, lecture hall building and two institute and laboratory buildings with a technical center. The 3 and 2-storey reinforced concrete skeleton construction with point-supported flat slabs, with a column grid of 6.0 m to 8.4 m, excelled in terms of cost-effectiveness and sustainability in terms of flexibility and convertibility. With the help of prestressed flat slabs in the library and lecture hall areas, it was possible to avoid beams as installation barriers with a ceiling span of 9.6 m and at the same time reduce the enclosed space.
